About Us
Puck Cancer, Inc. is a 501c(3) organization whose mission is to help provide financial assistance to cancer patients in the NEPA area through the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund. If we can take the financial burden out of the equation for people, all they have to focus on is getting better.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ease the financial burden of patients fighting their cancer battle. With the assistance of the Medical Oncology Associates in Kingston, PA we can make this mission a success. To date, we’ve raised over $140,000 for patients in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Area, and plan on raising more in the years to come.
The Beneficiary
Medical Oncology Associates has long recognized the devastating physical, psychological, and nancial hardships suffered by many of their patients, and thusly established the Prescription Assistance Fund in 2001. While originally meant to assist cancer patients in obtaining costly prescription drugs and nutritional supplements, the scope of assistance has broadened to include transportation to and from appointments in and out of town, durable medical equipment, patient medical insurance premiums, and home health treatments. With respect to the pride, independence, and courage of our patients and their families, Medical Oncology Associates hopes that any patient in need will feel comfortable asking for temporary assistance.
